How we teach, and how we coach.

How we teach

Our teaching is student-centred and inquiry-based. The trainer and the participants play an equally active role: our job is to facilitate the learning, model the coaching we teach, and measure progress by observing you coach.

  • Student-centred:

The trainer and the participants play an equally active role. We facilitate learning and overall comprehension of the materials, and measure progress through the observation of coaching sessions.

  • Inquiry-based:

Questions from participants are an essential part of the learning process, not an interruption to it. We always take the time to answer them and we offer guidance and support throughout the programme.

  • Facilitators, models and resources:

We actively demonstrate the coaching process we teach rather than only describing it, so you see the standard before you are asked to meet it.

  • Hands-on and autonomous:

We answer questions and review progress each day. You play an active and participatory role in your own learning.

Four people unravel a tangled ball of string into a smooth circle. A question mark and exclamation mark appear above them, symbolising problem-solving. A light bulb icon suggests finding a solution or having an idea.

The learning environment we offer

We strive to offer an online learning experience as warm and welcoming as an in-person course. That is why we deliver the programme in small classes of nine people maximum, so everyone finds their place in the group and there is room for spontaneous questions and observations throughout the training.

How we coach

Our own coaching practice, and the coaching we teach, are anchored in the principles of positive psychology, as well as emotional intelligence and mindfulness.

Strengths-based. We help people identify their strengths and learn how to leverage them to design the life they want to have. It does not mean ignoring the negative, it means reframing it into something more constructive, so people become more confident and kinder to themselves.

Emotionally literate. Supporting others to recognise and correctly name their emotions and those of others, and to regulate them, is a crucial part of the role of a coach.

Mindful. Mindfulness empowers people to shift their focus onto what they can influence and away from rumination and worry. It also helps us as coaches understand what is happening during a session and develop a reflective practice that supports our professional growth.

Evidence-based. We work with models and theories that have been empirically researched and proven relevant to the work we do. We believe in the science of psychology and coaching.
